The Uniform called a “Dobok” is worn to all classes, testing, tournaments and demonstrations when you represent your A Plus Martial Arts school. The dobok consists of the white pants, jacket and your rank belt. It also holds affiliate patches and school name. When you wear shoes to or from a tournament it is requested that they be mostly white, as in a mat or tennis shoe. Your dobok must be kept clean and in good condition. Please do not “Bleach” your dobok as the patches and printings will fade. Wash in cold water to keep the size proper. When a tear occurs or hem comes out please take time as soon as possible to repair it. This uniform shows your association with others who are also proud of this art. Wear it proudly, we will make you work hard for this opportunity. The dobok is tied outer right flap string to inner left seam string first then, left flap string to right seam string. The A PLUS patch, which you receive when you join is worn on the right chest side of your uniform and signifies your membership with this association. The membership also provides a membership card, which you MUST bring to each class to gain credit towards belt advancement. During summer months we wear a summer dobok, which consists of the uniform pants, a solid white or black t-shirt or a t-shirt with a martial arts theme and your belt. This is usually in May and is announced on the “Information Board” and in class.
REMEMBER: NO JEWELRY IS WORN IN CLASS, AT TESTING OR TOURNAMENTS. |
