Student Conduct

The essence of Martial Arts discipline in "self-discipline". A+ Martial Arts students are expected to exercise self-control and conduct themselves properly at all times. Behavior must reflect the values of the Martial Arts with high standards of courtesy, decency, respect for parents, teachers, law and order, clean and respectful language, honesty and good relationships with peers.

Causes for Automatic Suspension

    1. Stealing

    2. Fighting

    3. Vandalism

    4. Habitual use of profanity

    5. Lack of control during class and sparring

 

Code of Conduct

    1. Always keep your uniform clean and shirts tucked in.

    2. No foul language or inappropriate conversations.

    3. Always greet and acknowledge all instructors and staff.

    4. Students should remain quietly in lobby until class.

    5. Students should bow facing toward the mats before stepping of and off the mats to train.

    6. All instructors should e referred to by their proper titles or "Mr."

    7. Talking in the classroom should be kept to an absolute minimum, as we are here to train, not socialize.

    8. All instructors should be answered with "Yes Sir" or "No Sir".

    9. No chewing gum is allowed on the mats.

    10. All students should remain quiet while the instructors are teaching and talking.

    11. Unless your partner asks your help, all instruction should be left to the instructor.

    12. Always keep a positive, high-energy level with a "YES I CAN" attitude.

    13. No food or drinks are allowed on the mat.

    14. An appropriate level of respect should be given to the more senior students.

    15. Students should pay respect to each other before and after they train with each other.

    16. It is expected that students pay respect to the instructors after they finish; especially if the instructor is showing you and your partner something personally.

    17. Only uniformed students should be on the mat. Once you are out of uniform, you need to walk around the side of the mats.

    18. Do not gather or socialize in the changing area.

    19. Students who arrive early need to use that time to change into their uniform and then remain quietly in the lobby.

    20. Senior students are expected to help educate new and less senior students about proper protocol.

    21. Remove all jewelry and watches before training.
