Master Jim Blunk
|
Master Jim Blunk, our Master Instructor
and owner of A+ Martial Arts, has been involved in martial arts
for 18 years. Jim spent his early years studying several forms
of martial arts including Tae Kwon Do, Shaolin Kung Fu, and
Aikido. For the last ten years, Jim worked as an assistant
Instructor, a Head Instructor, and eventually a Chief Instructor
at the Ho Shin Do Martial Arts School in Marietta, GA. Jim was
just recently promoted to 4th degree black belt (the first
mastery level) and also holds a 3rd degree in WTF Tae Kwon Do,
1st degree in Hapkido, and a 2nd degree in Tang Soo Do. Master
Blunk still continues to train in outside arts like kenjitsu,
Danzan Ryu Jiujitsu and Chinese Kuntao. Master Blunk is a member
of AAU Tae Kwon Do, USAT, World I Do Kwan Federation and The
World Martial Arts College.

Master John Carroll
|
Master John Carroll, our Senior Master
Instructor, is celebrating his 30th year in martial arts
training. John started training in WTF Tae Kwon Do in Osan,
Korea in 1977 at age 4. He received his first black belt in TKD
from the WTF (Kukkiwon) at age 7. To date, John has participated
in many TKD tournaments taking the Grand Champion at Dixieland
Grand Am and Battle of Atlanta. John fought for 3 years as a
Professional Kickboxing Association (PKA) featherweight. Master
Carroll was recently promoted to 6th degree black belt by
Grandmaster Shelton Moreland. In addition, Master Carroll also
holds a 5th degree black belt in WTF Tae Kwon Do and a 2nd
degree black belt in Choi Kwang Do.

Carl Tolbert

Mr. Carl Lee Tolbert, our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor has been studying BJJ since 2003.
Certified WBJJA instructor, Mr. Tolbert brings his insight and the resources from the WBJJA to A plus students.
The classes are structured by the WBJJA with it’s proven curriculumn that is unique to BJJ.
Paolo Lopes’ dream of bringing BJJ to the world is a reality, there are schools training the same techniques all over the world.

Mr. Tolbert recently tested for his Black Belt in Judo after pursuing it intermittingly since the early 90’s.
Over the last two years with the help of Sensie Gene Pierce, his dream of being able to test was a reality. Mr. Tolbert was tested and ranked by Grandmaster Yoon.
